Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kentmare Ventures website and your purchase of goods from Kentmare Ventures, a business registered in Kenya under the Registration of Business Names Act (Cap. 499, Section 14), Business No. BN-8DSZ333K, registered to Patrick Waweru Njuguna, with its place of business at Floor 1, Room 11, Outering Road, Kariobangi, Embakasi District, Nairobi, P.O Box 200 – 00100 GPO, Kenya.

By placing an order on this site, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Who we are

Kentmare Ventures ("we", "us", "our") sells home and lifestyle goods, including candles, ceramics, woven textiles, and kitchenware, directly to consumers within Kenya and internationally.

2. Orders and acceptance

An order placed through this site is an offer to buy. We accept your order once payment has been confirmed by our payment processor and you receive an order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, for example where a product is out of stock, pricing was displayed in error, or payment cannot be verified — in which case any payment received will be refunded in full.

3. Pricing and currency

Prices are displayed in Kenyan Shillings (KES). Where you choose to pay in a foreign fiat currency or in cryptocurrency, the amount charged is converted at the exchange rate provided by our payment processor, NOWPayments, at the time of checkout. That converted amount, not the KES list price, is the amount due once your payment method is selected.

4. Payment methods

We accept payment by card, M-Pesa, and select cryptocurrencies, processed through NOWPayments (nowpayments.io), an independent, PCI-compliant payment gateway. We do not store your card details or private wallet keys. Cryptocurrency payments are final once confirmed on-chain and cannot be reversed by us; please double-check the amount and network before sending.

5. Delivery

Delivery timeframes and charges are set out in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you provide; please ensure your delivery address and phone number are accurate.

6. Returns and refunds

Our approach to returns, exchanges and refunds, including for goods damaged in transit, is set out in our Refund Policy.

7. Product descriptions

Because our goods are handmade or hand-finished, small variations in colour, texture, and size between the photograph and the item you receive are normal and not a fault.

8. Prohibited use

You may not use this site to place fraudulent orders, attempt to pay with stolen payment credentials, or otherwise misuse our checkout or payment processor. We reserve the right to cancel orders and report suspected fraud to the relevant authorities and to NOWPayments.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
